Building a Community of Character

God established the governments of the world to provide order. Jesus said to give to Caesar what was his. As Christians we have a responsibility to be good citizens.

Jesus showed compassion to the weak, the sick and the grieving. We are to cast our cares on him because he cares for us. As Christians, we are also called to care for one another.

Jesus in his ministry healed Jew and Gentile; he made no distinction. We are to be humble, gentle and forgiving in our relationships with others.

Jesus accepted the responsibility of Savior of the world. We are called to accept responsibility for our failures and our accomplishments.

Jesus did not consent to the way of life of sinners, but saw all people as worthy of respect. We too are called to show respect to those with whom we do not agree.

When we put on the character of Christ we are to show ourselves to be worthy of people's trust. Honesty and reliability should be marks of a Christian.
