I Rejoice

The gift of contentment is something to rejoice; being able to not have the wants of this world is a blessing.

The peace of God surpasses all understanding and we can rejoice because we can experience it.

Paul rejoices in the fact that the Gospel has set him free from struggling to earn God's love. We should rejoice in God's grace, not our works.

Paul found great joy in his relationship with Timothy. Christian fellowship is a great blessing from God.

Obedience in response to love is an honorable thing and one that brings joy. Paul points to the humble obedience of Christ to his Father.

As Christians, we have a long term future in heaven, but we are called to proclaim the Gospel while in this world.

Paul is in prison when he writes this letter to the Philippians and he illustrates how God is using his situation to advance the Gospel message.
